Description

Description
1. Introduction of Removal Tool
Removal Tool usually works with Corrosion coupons. Corrosion coupons are necessary equipment to detect or evaluate the corrosion status of the pipeline system. It can accurately display the corrosion situation inside the pipeline system and assist in the maintenance of the pipeline.

At present, the corrosion coupons used at home and abroad can meet the requirements for detecting the corrosion status of pipelines. But most of them require pipeline pressure relief to stop production, resulting in large economic losses.

Based on the above reasons, our company has developed a pressure removal tool that can remove the corrosion coupon under pressure without the need for pipeline pressure relief and shutdown. Its main components are made of stainless steel, which is resistant to acid and alkali and corrosion. The demolition tool with pressure belongs to the form of mechanical contact, and the action is sensitive and reliable.

This manual is helpful for your installation, use, and proper maintenance of the demolition tool under pressure, so please read the manual carefully before installing and using this product.

2. Technical characteristics
Applicable pressure range: P≤45Mpa;
The applicable temperature range: -20~100℃;
Applicable medium: petroleum products, natural gas, and other non-corrosive fluids.
The installation height of the equipment under normal use conditions depends on the pipe diameter (generally not more than 1.5 meters);
3. Equipment structure
Hammer Nut—connecting the base and the gear plate valve (Service Valve) (PTFE coating)
Service Valve—connecting the lifting component (Retriever), which is used to adjust the internal pressure of the dismantling tool under pressure (PTFE coating);
Bleed Valve — used to release the internal pressure of the demolition tool under pressure (stainless steel)
Bypass Valve — used to balance the internal pressure of the dismantling tool under pressure (stainless steel)
Adapter — used to connect corrosion coupons and lifting components (Retriever) (stainless steel)
Plug Drive—The drive assembly (stainless steel) used to remove and install the corrosion coupon
Plug Lifter—For the linkage of inner and outer magnetic steel components (strong magnetic steel)
Stop Block — used for fixing the outer magnetic steel component (Plug Lifter) (stainless steel)
Retriever—connecting gear plate valve for lifting and installation of corrosion coupons (stainless steel);
4. Retrieval Of Corrosion Coupon
Adapter installationRemove the protective cover from the base, then remove the Pipe Plug on the plug body, and install the Adapter on the original Pipe Plug position. The six squares on the body are aligned, and the lock is locked.
Installation of Hammer Nut and Gear Plate Valve (Service Valve). Install the Hammer Nut and the Service Valve on the base and lock them. Note that the Service Valve should be open at this time.
Installation of Retriever. Install the lift assembly (Retriever) on the gear plate valve (Service Valve) and lock.
Disassembly of the corrosion coupon.
Land the outer magnetic steel assembly (Plug Lifter) smoothly at the bottom, and rotate the drive shaft on the gear drive assembly (Plug Drive) in the direction of “removal” (right-hand) on the logo of the plug drive assembly, pay attention to this time Hold down the outer magnetic steel assembly (Plug Lifter), try to lift the outer magnetic steel assembly (Plug Lifter) upward during rotation, if it cannot be lifted, continue to rotate the drive shaft until the outer magnetic steel assembly (Plug Lifter) can be lifted easily, lift the outer magnetic steel assembly (Plug Lifter) to the highest position, and block the stop block (Stop Block).

Close the gear plate valve (Service Valve)
Rotate the plate valve drive shaft on the gear plate valve (Service Valve) to the right until it stops, and close the gear plate valve (Service Valve).

Close the Bypass Valve
Turn the Bypass Valve spindle on the Service Valve to the right until it stops, closing the Bypass Valve.

Open the Bleed Valve
Rotate the main shaft of the Bleed Valve on the Bleed Valve to the left until it stops rotating, open the Bleed Valve, and release all the internal pressure of the pressurized removal tool.

Open the sealing nut (Screw)
Open the top sealing nut (Screw) of the lifting assembly (Retriever), drain all the liquid inside the demolition tool under pressure, and install the sealing nut (Screw) back to its original position after draining.

Remove the lifting assembly (Retriever)
Remove the lift assembly (Retriever) from the gear plate valve (Service Valve) to complete the removal of the corrosion coupon.

5. Installation Of Corrosion Coupon
Installation of Retriever
Install the Retriever with the corrosion coupon on the Service Valve and lock it. Note that the Plug Lifter should be at the top at this time.
Close the Bleed Valve
Turn the Bleed Valve spindle on the Bleed Valve to the right until it stops, closing the Bleed Valve.
Open the Bypass Valve
Rotate the Bypass Valve spindle on the Gear Plate Valve (Service Valve) to the left until it stops rotating, then open the Bypass Valve to balance the pressure inside the demolition tool under pressure with the pressure inside the pipeline.
Open the gear plate valve (Service Valve)
Rotate the plate valve drive shaft on the gear plate valve (Service Valve) to the left until it stops, and open the gear plate valve (Service Valve).
Installation of corrosion coupons
Land the outer magnetic steel assembly (Plug Lifter) smoothly at the bottom, and rotate the drive shaft on the gear drive assembly (Plug Drive) to the “installation” direction (left-handed) on the logo of the gear drive assembly (Plug Drive). Press down on the outer magnet assembly (Plug Lifter) until it stops rotating. Lift the outer magnetic steel assembly (Plug Lifter) to the top, and the stop block (Stop Block) is stuck.
Open the Bleed Valve
Rotate the main shaft of the Bleed Valve on the Bleed Valve to the left until it stops rotating, open the Bleed Valve, and release all the internal pressure of the pressurized removal tool.

Open the sealing nut (Screw)
Open the top sealing nut (Screw) of the lifting assembly (Retriever), drain all the liquid inside the demolition tool under pressure, and install the sealing nut (Screw) back to its original
Close the Bleed Valve
Turn the Bleed Valve spindle on the Bleed Valve to the right until it stops, closing the Bleed Valve.
Remove the lifting assembly (Retriever)
Remove the lift assembly (Retriever) from the gear plate valve (Service Valve).
Disassembly of Hammer Nut and Service Valve
Remove the Hammer Nut and Gear Plate Valve (Service Valve) from the base.
Disassembly of the Adapter
Remove the adapter from the insert.
Installation of Pipe Plug and Protective Cover
Install the Pipe Plug back on the plug body and lock it, install the protective cover back on the base, and complete the installation of the corrosion coupon.
6. Removal Tool Maintenance and Maintenance
Note: After each use of the demolition tool under pressure, the demolition tool under pressure and the inside and outside of each component should be wiped clean and dry, and all parts with O-rings should be greased to prevent corrosion damage.
