It has excellent weldability and corrosion resistance as consumable filler wires and electrodes. The alloy has shown success as a filler wire in numerous applications. When other corrosion-resistant wires have failed. Because of its ductility, C-22 is easily cold-formed. Because the alloy is stiffer than austenitic stainless steel, more energy is needed.
