A grade called UNS S32760 Super Duplex is one of the most commonly used super duplex grades on the market today. In seawater and other chloride-containing environments, stainless steel grade F55 is very resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion. It has a critical pitting temperature of more than 50 °C (122 °F), which makes it very resistant to these types of corrosion.
